Haifa Zangana is a Kurdish-Iraqi novelist and artist based in London who left Baghdad after being persecuted by the Ba’ath regime in the 1970’s. She has published three novels, three collections of short stories, and numerous nonfiction articles. Her first book Dreaming of Baghdad, which is set in 1970’s Iraq has been released in a new edition by The Feminist Press, this year. She also contributed to War with no End, published by Verso.
